Set portfolio theme on issue create or edit

Once I have themes setup in Portfolio, I want the ability to access that same theme list on the JIRA Software side so that it can be set during a create or edit.  Anyone know how to do that?  It is a bit frustrating how you can't access fields on the portfolio side and can't access portfolio fields on the JIRA Software side.
