Portfolio and team availability

Is there a way to view the team availability that has been added in shared teams in portfolio, in one gantt chart view?

Also, will i get notified when someone has added an absence and I assign them an issue to be due the same time they are away?

Hello Dania,

Unfortunately the answer to both questions is a no for Portfolio's current form and we have feature request in place to address this in future iterations.

First There is not a global view of capacity at this time.  This was partially addressed in the following Feature as part of Shared Teams, where a team capacity is shared across plans when allocated:

However as noted in the Features comments on completion of the Shared teams functionality:

This issue has been addressed as part of new Portfolio live plans, which are now out of labs and the standard way of working with 2.0.

There is a new concept of shared teams which allows to centrally define teams and reference them within multiple plans. There is a couple of still open follow-up requests to control the maximum capacity across plans, such as this suggestion which we will address separately on top of the new shared teams concept.

So the mentioned Suggestion above (JPOCLOUD-80), and additional interest and follow up on a Global Capacity view in portfolio, is being tracked in JPOSERVER-1832

But Currently the capacity via resource availability is plan dependent, and You will need to define how many hours the person spends on which team on each plan by filling in the weekly hours under the team-specific availability in their details panel. This gives you the most flexibility in planning across multiple plans with the current options.

Next is the following feature request to provide Clear visibility of available hours per team member so you get warnings and about overallocation on teams across multiple plans:

Make sure to add your vote to these request to help track interest and influence a priority increase per the Implementation of New Features Policy.

Regards,
Earl
