JIRA MFA

lorenze larot October 19, 2018

Hello Cool People,

I may not be looking that hard   but is  there any available plugin that supports multi-factor-authentication for JIRA server.  Something that we can implement for specific users only and not the entire jira users. ?

I hope someone can shed some light on this.

Best,

Hello there,

There are multiple vendors available on the marketplace which support MFA for Jira. You can refer the below link for more details

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?query=jira%202fa

But I prefer MFA add-on from the miniOrange vendor because of the below reason.

1. Easy to configure

2. You can enable/disable MFA for individual users as well as for groups. Using which you can enable MFA only admin users.

3. Most important Great support.

Hello @Lucas Smith

Thanks for suggesting the add-on. I use the miniOrange 2FA addon for both Jira & Confluence.

It went perfectly the support team provides great support.

I also recommend this add on for everyone who is looking for 2FA/MFA addon.

Hello @lorenze larot

As Lucas says, you now have a few choices.

We just released a new app on Marketplace that has a powerful multifactor policy framework in addition to SAML and Kerberos authentication all in one app.

User can even log in password-less using face, fingerprint, usb security keys. Users with an Apple watch can log in by double-clicking on their watch.

Give all of them a try, and let the community know which one you prefer!

Cheers,

Lars, COO Polarnight

Many.  Have a look at https://marketplace.atlassian.com - there are several in there, at least of two of which support partial MFA (the one I'm most familiar demands MFA for admin accounts only for example)
