Is it possible to make the TEAM field into a multi-select?

Edited

We have a use case where issues created must be associated to teams impacted and the teams engaged to work on it.

Is it possible to assign multiple teams and or have another custom field to do the same?

Hi @NAYANA

The Teams field itself can only be single-choice. There are suggestions to change this - see: JSWCLOUD-19633 / JPOSERVER-1725

You could create custom fields to visualise the other teams - such as:

  • Group Picker (multiple groups): This would require you to replicate the teams as user groups
  • Select List (multiple choices): This would be a set list of team names

...but these are not going to be related to the actual Teams listed in Advanced Roadmaps.

---------------

If listing the teams using other custom fields isn't sufficient, what are the specifics of the use case here?

There might be other options which we can suggest if you can provide an example and more information about your general work structure :)

Hi @Stephen Wright _Elabor8_ for Portfolio Management we have the main team developing the solution, but we also want to track the teams contributing as well.

We already have Squad fields for this, but we would much rather prefer to use the Advanced Roadmaps Share Teams. That way we only have to maintain this list in one place, and not require Jira Admin support to do it. To edit the Squads custom field we need an admin to do it.

Thank you,

Jenny
