Inability to delete Stories, Epics, etc.

I'm new to JIRA and am set up in the system as the only Site Admin.  When attempting to delete an unneeded story I receive an error message that I do not have admin rights.  Any suggestions on a next step or item I may be overlooking to perform deletes on stories (and epics)?

Hi @Brian Buck

Look at the Permission scheme of the project to which the issue you are trying to delete belongs to.

There is a permission called 'Delete issue' and you can see there which role/group can delete an issue.

You can then grant yourself the necessary access and delete the issues.
