How to link an issue to an epic in the "Scope view"

Hey there,

 

is there no way to directly link epics to initiatives and stories/tasks/whatever to epics directly in the Scope view?

Because it's possible to create new tickets and it would be nice to not have to open the issue in a new tab to enter than the new epic.

Hello Mirco,

To add a story to an Epic or adding an Epic to an Initiative from the scope view, select the issue that you want to link to the next hierarchy level up, to expand the details view for that issue and link it by setting the parent issue field with the desired parent issue:

Alternatively contingent on the current hierarchy level that you are looking at, you can expose the parent issue type as a column per the current Hierarchy level, i.e. when viewing the story level can expose the Epic column and viewing Epic you can expose the Initiative level, then you can set the parent link using the parent issue type column for the current level you're viewing:
