How can I run Script Fields in Jira Portfolio?

Edited

I'm trying to trigger a Custom field in the Jira Portfolio scenario. This custom field is based on a script that has been created in the ScriptRunner, Fields sub-tab.

Thanks in advance.

A scripted field is not a true field.  It is a read-only display of the results of a calculation (the logic in the script behind the field)

A custom field is calculated when an issue is re-indexed, usually when it is created, or there are any updates such as edit, transition or comment.  (That's not strictly true, it's a bit more complex, but for most purposes, we can assume "script calculates field when issue is indexed").  I guess you could say that is the "trigger" - any issue update will "trigger" a custom field to be recalculated.
