The badges on dependencies are not turning red. Does it depend on some Plan configuration?

The Dependencies are configured to be worked on sequentially which means the dependency badges should turn RED if there is a conflict in schedule. BUT that is NOT happening.

PLease advise, what am I missing?

I am on Advanced Roadmaps for Jira version 3.29.7 on Jira Data Center version 8.13
