We’re totally biased, but the Atlassian Community is a great way to break down geographical barriers and draw on the expertise of humans from all across the globe — and have a lot of fun along the way.

What you may not yet realize is that this network also meets in person to trade best practices, learn about new features, snag some cool swag and much more via the Atlassian User Groups — to the tune of 15,000 people in 30 countries! To see if there are any meetups near you, feel free to visit http://aug.atlassian.com and search for your city, region or country.

Recently, we started rolling out online groups that work in tandem with these AUG events to help further the conversations happening in real life, giving people the chance to ask follow-up questions and dig deeper into specific topics. Some of the most active groups include Austin, Columbus, London and Brussels, and we’re adding more every month.

If you don’t see an online group for your city and you’re interested in moderating and nurturing one, feel free to tag @Monique vdB in the comments below with your city or region.

In addition, we have groups centered around topics like Diversity & Inclusion, Jobs & Careers and Enterprise, so don’t hesitate to jump into conversations happening there as well.
