Welcome Wednesday: Storytime - Preparing for vacation!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Around Christmas time (and I believe possibly in the spring), we built a story one line at a time with the next person adding an additional line building on the previous story that has been created so far. People seemed to enjoy that so I thought we’d do it again.

The ironic part of this is that I’m technically on vacation right now (I just never leave the community ), but I thought we’d build a story about preparing to go on vacation. If you are like me, preparing to go on vacation is an event on it’s own.

Let’s get things started:

It’s Friday afternoon, and I have all of my Jira tickets closed (just pretend this is possible). I’m just about to logout for the day but then….

I take a deep breath and dive into the first request, hoping I can solve it quickly. As I work on it, I realize it's a familiar issue, something I've encountered before. My fingers dance across the keyboard, and I manage to resolve it faster than I expected.

Just as I'm about to mark it as "Done," another urgent issue arrives in the queue ...

I quickly head over to Confluence and find the documentation on 75% of the tickets just assigned to me and quickly link the issues to tickets and re-assign them. But just as I am about to close my laptop for the last time I hear a series of pings coming from Slack...
