Happy Wednesday Everyone!
I have been studying and preparing to write the ACP-520 certification exam. In fact, I will be writing it a few hours from now. As with a number of the other certification exams I have taken, I have put in a number of evening and weekend hours of preparation.
I know that a number of people are always looking for tips and advice on what they should do to prepare for writing exams and I thought this was a good opportunity for everyone to share some study advice. So my question this week: How do you prepare/study for an exam?
For me, I’m going to list three things that really help me:
Read the Exam topics guide! On every exam prep page at university.atlassian.com this guide will give you a complete list of the topics that will be tested and what percentage of the exam they are worth. I would strongly recommend that you ensure you are comfortable with the topics that are worth the most as this will give you a better chance of passing the exam.
If the there sample questions, do them! But, be sure to read through the comments as to why the incorrect answers are wrong and why the correct answers are correct. This can really help come the time you are writing the exam about identifying why answers that look close are incorrect.
Spin up a test instance. Actually working with the product and features you are going to be tested on in the exam can really help you commit to memory the information you are going to need to remember and recall.
Alright! Those are my tips, what are yours? Let me know in the comments below.
Have a great rest of the week!
