Atlassian Community Round-up: June 2022

Hello Everyone,

Another month has come and gone and we’re back with another content rich Community Round-up!

Let’s dive in and see all the great things I have for you this time:

First up, as always, if there is a Security Advisory, I’m going to bring it up. This one is specifically for Confluence Server & Data Center. If you haven’t read the advisory, please go read and and see what you need to do to protect yourself and your company. https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-articles/Critical-Security-Advisory-for-Confluence-Server-and-Data-Center/ba-p/2046446

Next, Jira Software version 9.0 & Jira Service Management 5.0 (both for Data Center) are now available. If you are on Data Center, I’d recommend reading through the release notes and the upgrade notes to see what you need to do to prepare for this upgrade. https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-articles/Help-your-teams-scale-responsibly-Jira-Software-9-0-amp-Jira/ba-p/2059355

Continuing with the new feature announcements, Confluence Cloud has introduced a new way to visualize tables with embeded charts you can dynamically update on the page. If you have been exporting data to Excel, you might want to check this out and see if this might make your life a little easier. https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-articles/Introducing-Table-Visualization-Quickly-turn-Confluence-tables/ba-p/2037230

Lastly, in the realm of new updates, Atlas (formerly Team Central), has added a new “Learnings“ tab to projects. This will allow you to document things you learned while working on the project, so you know what to continue next time and what to try differently. https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Team-Central-articles/Share-what-you-know-with-Learnings/ba-p/2054920

Next, the Confluence Cloud team is sponsoring a number of events the June ones have already past, but there are more planned for July & August. Check out this post to see what you have to look forward to. https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-articles/Confluence-Where-work-and-wellness-meet/ba-p/2033678
