Atlassian Community Round-up: July 2022

Hello and welcome to the July edition of the Atlassian Community round up! I hope everyone has been having a wonderful and enjoyable summer ( or winter for our friends in the southern hemisphere). While you might have expected things to slow down in the community, there is a ton of great content for you this month. Let’s dive in and take a look:

• First, every month if there is a security vulnerability posted, you know that is the first thing I’m going to be reporting about to you. This month it’s a little heart breaking for me, because there is more than one of them and they cover multiple Server/Data Center products. As I have said in the past, please go look at these posts and see if you are affected by them. If so, please take the steps required to protect yourself and your company.

• Next, for anyone using the Bitbucket powerup in Trello, a sunset announcement was made that support for this power up in Trello will be ending as of October 2022.

• Moving on to some happier topics, if you are new to Agile you should check out the “Building your Agile mindset“ series. This article collects a number of the tips that have been shared across the community.

• While were on the topic of things you can learn, the JSM Forms team is working through a 30 day collection of tips and tricks for using the new JSM Forms feature.

• Next, Atlassian announced that the Cloud product now support up to 35,000 users. If you have been waiting to move to the cloud for official support of a larger user base, now might be the time to look at it again.

• Over on the Data Center side of things, the next LTS versions of Jira Software and Jira Service Management have been announced. If you have been waiting for thing to plan your next round of upgrades, go check out the post and start putting you plan together.

• In case you missed it, Jira was the theme for July with a number of events taking place including #JiraAdminAppreciationDay on July 15th and a Jira Haiku contest that ended on July 20th. • Next, our #JiraHeroes story this month is from @Zach Meixner, who shares how M&T Bank wanted to bring greater visibility to the work being done by standardizing on a single tool (Jira Software) and eventually a common set of processes for all teams. I can personally relate to this and I loved the tips that Zach shared. You should go read the entire story yourself.
