A few weeks ago, Zoom was an everyday tool that we used in the office to get work done. Jumping from meeting room, to phone booth, to in-person sync, I never consider how I might customize it. Now ..... it's the only way I see my teammates' faces. It's how our teams show our creativity and personalities.
When one of our co-workers left, we changed our virtual backgrounds to a photo of her as part of her send off.
During Summit last week, another coworker made it look like he was in a room with Mike and Scott.
And my favorite so far, several of my teammates surprised the rest of our team by showing up with face-masks on. It was a great ice breaker into the meeting and kept the team laughing (especially since some of our masks gave Jason Friday 13th vibes).
These are few small examples of how our team has learned to get creative in light of our new style of remote work. How are your teams showing their personalities and getting creative with your new remote style of work? Share in the comments!
