I am using the free version, but for some of the members, I get this error without any clear reasons; they all have the same permissions:
we could not add a member to the card. Wait a moment and try again

We found where the issue was; The board was crated by my colleague and when I wanted to add a new member to a board that I gave the colleague the link to join, then I could not add my colleague, but it seems the board creator could add the colleague to the board; this is certainly a UI/UX issue as all the members have the same access for the free account and the message must be more informative to mention that you are not the board creator and you must ask the board creator to add a member who is being added for the first time; once a member is added for the first time, then I can add that member to any other cards in the same board.

The situation you're describing still doesn't sound like it's the expected behavior. If you're able to reproduce it again and can share a screenshot, I'd like to look deeper to see what is happening and if there's a condition that we can improve.
