I just created an account to use with family for in-house tasks. I use JIRA for work, and thought that it might be nice to use this for home projects.
I have a legacy Google G Suite account that I use. I was able to add users with addresses of the form firstname.lastname@example.org, but not for my personal g suite domain. Mainly because I think it isn't recognized as being a "Google Login".
Ahh, I had them create accounts since it wasn't working. They didn't have atlassian accounts yet. (They're teens. I wanted them to see what work life was like to some degree, and also organize their summer tasks).
I can also try to log in with my own account at that external domain?
Huh, weird. It worked for me this time. When my family tried with the same accounts it just didn't do anything at all, returned them to the login screen.
I will do some more testing. This might just be one of those situations where of course it works after raising the question. (like being mysteriously healed when i go to the doctor, or of course the car starts fine for the mechanic).
Thanks for your voodoo, if that's what it was. More testing on its way. Will report back if I learn anything.
