Only if you had taken some form of backup of the card or board

since I asked, I obviosly don't know how to backup the board. Can you please recommend a way?

If you're on Premium, there's a CSV export you can run, a couple of people I know have said https://rewind.io/backup/trello/ is worth a look, and you could base your own backup on https://github.com/mattab/trello-backup.  I'm sure there are more options, including probably dedicated power-ups.
