I am involved with some groups and I am trying to start people using trello. They like the idea of it but are not in the habit of coming to the site and I am not getting any traction.
If I create a card, I want an email notification of that to go to people associated with the board. There does not seem to be an obvious way to set this. Why is that not the default?
I also want to have weekly reminders of activity sent to all board participants. Again, why is this not the default?
Obviously someone getting these emails needs to be able to turn them off easily. But. If someone has said that they want to participate and just need to be reminded of what is there, how can I make that happen?
Hi @RayK
I have had experience with team engagement and exactly this where they like the idea, they love the look of the tool but they basically want someone to do it all for them... 😆
A couple of tips for that are helpful? If the team use slack, look at Introducing Trello for Slack
I have found with email, that eventually the team will ignore the emails
Default email notifications in Trello are set to periodic, this is a user level setting so you can't centrally control that.
You can use automation to email people based on activity on Trello.https://trello.com/guide/automate-anything#automations-for-email-and-integrations
A flip option is to use Trello to manage email communications and this become the standard...You can use Sendboard email for Trello for this
