Currently, lists can only be archived, not deleted. I'll let our team know that deleting lists is something you'd be interested in seeing.
In the meantime, you could use the following workaround: move the lists to an empty board (click on the menu icon next to the list title, then select "Move list"), then close the board and then delete it. Deleting the board will also delete the lists within that board.
