Would you have any suggestions for protecting a card from deletion?

I have noticed that my colleagues sometimes delete a card from a board by mistake. Are there any suggestions for preventing this from happening without changing their role from member to observer?

Apologies, I don't think we have the granularity with Trello to remove the delete card permission from a normal user.

It would be acceptable to have admins and observers (where observers are members with read-only access to a board).
