Why does my Trello Boards say expired?

I have a free account that I have added a secondary person onto. This person has their own free account as well with their own email login - I invited them to my trello boards. For some reason, they can access and edit my trello boards from their free account but when I try to look at them through my account it says that the boards have expired. Can anyone tell me what they think is happening and how to fix this? Thank you.

Could you take a screenshot of the problem occurring with your boards?

Any chance the boards you want to join have been closed/deleted/ or require permission granted to join?
