In creating a list --- some of the cards don't give me any options other than copy, archive, etc.
And the others allow me to add checklists, dates, etc.
Both are in the same list!
I know you can add a checklist by choosing that option IN the card.. but the card doesn't even give me the option to add checklists or anything beyond that!
That certainly is strange - you should always be able to add a checklist by opening the card and clicking "checklist". There unfortunately isn't a way to add a checklist from the quick edit menu.
If this issue persists for you, it would be great if you could reach out to Support at https://trello.com/contact with some screenshots of where you are trying to add your checklists.
