Why am I getting email notifications for columns I'm not subscribed to?

I'm subscribed to 2 out of 5 columns on my Trello board but I receive email notifications for all the columns. No, I'm not subscribed to the entire board. Is this a bug?

What sort of notifications are you getting from the lists that you're not subscribed to?

Hey Matthew, I'm getting stuff like the following (see screenshot below). I'm not subscribed to the list that this card has gone into. Am I getting a notification because I'm subscribed to the list that this card came from?
