I would like to click return when I'm creating a new card and immediately be taken to the editing area where I can make note, add comments, etc. As of now I click a new card then have to go use the mouse to go backwards into the card.
Not a huge deal of course, but I try to use my keyboard and shortcuts as much as possible and this seems like it would be easy.
@Brian Prentiss the only editing shortcut when looking at the back of a card is "t" to edit the title.
Note you can also edit the title from the front of the card with the "e" key, and open the back of a card when creating it with shift+enter
But no keyboard shortcut exists to focus the description or comments unfortunately

The shift+enter to open card after creating it only works on scratch cards and does not work when creating from template. Is there a similar method for opening a card directly after creating from a template? I was looking for maybe something in the automations but I didn't see anything about opening a card.
It's not really that big of a deal but would be really nice and make things go faster when you have a few dozen cards to create.

This is not an answer as much as it is a feature request directly related to @Brian Prentiss question. I'm not sure if there's a better place to put this. Please guide me if there is.
As a somewhat new Trello user coming from a corporate environment where we use similar tools, this is a really big deal to me. Not a deal-breaker, but it's quite annoying.
When adding a card, I would like the ability for the newly-created card to open in "edit mode" automatically, as 99% of the time there are details to be added right away.
This could be accomplished through a "radio button" or "select" setting for the board/user/list (wherever it would be most appropriate; I would choose User):

Strongly second this request.

Here we are 5 years later and this is still not a feature. While it is a small thing, it is annoying to click on "Add a Card" then create a title, then click off the card and click on it again to edit it. We use this as a request tracking system, so all that extra clicking becomes annoying TBH.
