I've seen "mirror cards" mentioned as "coming in the next few months." When can we expect mirror cards to arrive, and how can I access them?
My work frequently bridges two Trello boards (while most of the rest of my team works with one or the other), and I have been looking forward to mirror cards becoming available since I saw it mentioned in the above February blog post. Thanks!
Sorry to keep you waiting. We don't have a solid ETA yet, but we'll definitely be letting people know when they're available in Trello! It's a highly requested feature, so stay tuned to our blog, as I would be surprised if we didn't make a public post once that feature is ready for release.
We're working to implement our workflows for a major project right now and need to understand whether to do this with Unito or wait for Trello to release their version. Having some timeline would help us make a decision about whether to invest the labor in Unito or hold off for Trello and invest our implementation labor there. Any ideas on a timeline for Trello rollout would be very helpful.

Please briancervino, give us an update regarding the mirroring function.

Don’t worry! Mirror cards are still an active part of our plans. We know it’s going to be an important part of our users’ workflows, so we want to make sure that it works flawlessly for the many use cases that our users will have. We will update you all regarding a timeframe in the coming months. In the meantime, we recommend Unito’s card sync as an alternative.

Heya!
Any news about the release date of this feature? Otherwise we'll be investing in Unito in the next few days, but I'd love to be able to use something Trello-branded if possible

I'm a little frustrated with this - I need this for our college, and the Unito option is ridiculously expensive and limited. Is there any way to get an update on this?

@briancervino are mirror cards really still happening?
I noticed that the reference to them has been removed from this blog post dating back to February, and every other feature mentioned in that post has since been delivered.
Mirror cards however seem to have only been spoken about as "part of our plans" (which makes it seem like work hasn't even started).
Not having mirror cards adds a huge amount of difficulty and inconvenience. This would be an absolute game changer and I'm sure would get lots of people to upgrade to a Standard plan.
The other 3rd party solutions just don't cut it. They don't work well, and are grossly over-priced.

@Sean Hynes nailed it! Would also be highly interested in reliable information from trello! @briancervino
The community is waiting for this feature since february. Moreover the promise of synced cards was one of the reasons we purchased a premium trello workspace for our company.
Not delivering the feature for 9 months while relating to an expensive third party service, then deleting all the announcements and now not replying to customer questions on this topic for over two weeks is more than disappointing.

I would like to know how much longer (days, months, or years) we have to wait for us to have a concrete response to this functionality that was offered to us and we have not yet received since 2020. We are already in 2024 and we still don't have it, we don't have concrete answers, nobody says anything, and nobody gives a viable solution. Using Unito or the other options that are not free but only for a few days, and are more expensive than TRELLO is not an option.
Why do they offer something that they can't deliver to us?

At this point I'm pretty confident they have no intention of delivering Mirror Cards as native functionality, but don't want to put that into official words anywhere.
My guess is they've hit an issue with architecture/scalability and have decided the effort to implement this is too high.
It would still be nice if they would at the very least give us a response here.

Trello creates each card with a link. I don't understand why they takes this much time to implement this feature which eventually helps to access same card from multiple boards. I think this will be a game changer for powerful users. Similar to hard link in Disk.
Till it comes, suggesting the work around that I do:
- Create a card indicating 'link of xyz card'
- Paste the original cards link in the new card.
- So, you can access the same card in an extra click.
The issue with this method is you should have permission in both boards!

Honestly, I find the Unito service absurdly expensive and more for people like me who only need one (1) seat or user within the system. I don't know how Trello can allow a platform that only does this action to cost more than Trello itself ... it's crazy! It does not seem fair to me that Trello allows it and neither that Unito being a 3rd party charge so much money from the users of this program. I know they work with other apps but it's ridiculously expensive anyway.
19 dollars for 3 users (personal) per month
or
10 dollars a month ...
and they don't have a free plan? Excuse me but you have to use a better pricing strategy because this is too expensive for the function you have.
I don't know what they plan to do with this but the reality is that I really like Trello but the need to see the synchronized boards as well as see all the boards in a single calendar is the only missing tool that the app needs to be even cooler.

Plus, Unito is not very upfront about the cost, or at least not when I used them a few years back. When I initially added their power-up, it wasn't very clear that it was just a free trial. Two weeks later, it just stopped syncing. I was so frustrated because I'd already set up quite a few cards.
I also found it very difficult to use if I remember right. It wasn't just a simple "copy to board" procedure. I think you had to use the card links to set it up. It's been a few years though like I said, so I can't quite remember if that's that's what I'm thinking of. I do remember clearly it didn't always work right and would never copy over certain things like the card cover and the card followers!
So frustrating that this has taken so long for Atlassian to have native in Trello!

THIS IS NOT RESOLVED. WHY IS IT MARKED AS RESOLVED? IS IT A STRATEGY TO BE FORGOTTEN AND PEOPLE TO FORGET IT?
PLEASE DON'T TREAT US LIKE IGNORANT.
IF YOU CAN PERFORM THE REQUIRED FUNCTION THAT YOU OFFERED, PLEASE COMMIT RESPONSIBLY BUT STOP PLAYING WITH OUR TIME.
