What paid option to upgrade to

Shawn_Studer April 6, 2020

We are setting up personal boards for students that are in an online class we are doing. 2 of us are setting this up for each student but we want the students to be able to edit their personal boards.

We have the free version at the moment but are looking to upgrade to paid versions. Currently, it looks like the free version doesn't allow invitees to edit the boards. Is that correct?

Will the Business class plan for 2 users allow each student to edit their personal board without having to be charged for each student too?

What is the best solution for this so that we are only paying monthly for 2 users?

Thank you for your help!

Hey Shawn,

You're welcome to stick with the free version if you like—there's no restriction for members to edit boards. If you add a student to a board, they'll definitely be able to make changes to it.

If you decide to upgrade for other reasons, you'll want to make sure that you only keep the members you want to pay for in your team though. Business Class is billed per team member, but there can also be charges if you have guests on multiple boards in your team as well.

A guest is a person who is a member of a board in your Business Class team but not the team itself. As long as that person (student) is only a member of a single board, there's no extra cost for them. However if that person is a member of an additional board in the team, that's when they are considered a multi-board guest and cost the same as a team member.

The takeaway if you upgrade to Business Class is you'll want to keep you and your colleague in the team, and make sure that each student is a member of one board, respectively.

Let me know if that helps explain!
