What is the best way for an individual to use Trello with multiple clients?

islandmiki10 July 10, 2020

I am new to Trello and as an independent contractor I have several clients that want to use Trello to be better organized and house information in one place. I have been invited to boards they have set up, but I wonder about how that works with a place that I can track all of my different projects for multiple clients?

Does anyone have any experience with this and can give some insight to what they have learned that is more recent that what I am seeing?

I would like to learn from others trial and errors!

Thanks,

islandmiki

Hi Islandmiki.

I have many boards with different people and am using much automation (Butler and mainly trellinator). But all these boards and automation would have driven me nuts if I would not have had one 'master board' where I receive all tagged messages and even emails. I'm using BenkoBoard with great success and also have a team board (BenkoDesk).

Check it out, perhaps this is a solution - for me it sure is!

Hi islanmiki10,

I use a master board which includes a list with all my clients. I create a board for each client, but then I link these individual boards in the list on the master board.

Hope this simple solution helps.

Thanks Karla, this seems to be along the lines of what might work for me.

Might I ask a few questions to clarify?

Are the Boards all on your Trello account?

Can you link boards from your clients Trello account to these boards?

Thanks,

Miki
