Webhook/APi in jira or trello for managing database access

Sara Ervik December 17, 2018

Hi!

I would like to design a proof-of-concept, where access to the organization's database is granted based on assigned cards in jira/trello. Does anybody know of similar project? Is it feasible to implement from the existing api/webhooks?

To elaborate, this is how I would like it to work:

1. By default the developer can not access the database

2. Developer assigns to a ticket "user needs support with payment, requires role: admin"

3. Developer is granted access to the role admin

This is part of a university project and I am very thankful for any ideas on the subject!

@Sara ErvikI have worked on a similar project.  One thing which you need to address first are security requirements.  Trello will have a different security model than your organization's database.  For example a team admin can see/edit everything within a team, and so could access the organization's database as another team member.
