We've reduced board members to 8, yet the workspace is still locked/set at read only.

We've recently reduced the number of contributors from 15 to 8 but the workspace will still not allow the 8 members to update the board.  How do we have the board returned to where we can edit cards within the workspace? Is there something further we needed to do?  I've logged out of the account and tried to refesh without success.

You probably have more than 10 collaborators (across ALL your boards in your workspace) See https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/workspace-user-limit/
