Update number field from dollar to number

I have a zap set up to automatically pull new leads to a custom card in trello & add the number to a # custom field

As of now its passing it through as a $ amount - is there anyway to adjust it to recognize it as a number instead ?

Does it matter if user enters number different ways?

ex

212-888-9999

Hey Hank,

Hm, it sounds like that might be the Zap specifically. The number custom field type will only accept characters of 0-9 and to my knowledge, no automatic formatting is done to that field.

I did find a Zapier help doc that touches on that formatting: https://zapier.com/help/create/format/modify-number-formats-in-zaps

Could you give that a try?

Thanks @Garrett I was able to find a workaround by replacing the custom field from Number to Text
