Trello cards view navigation

Hey all, we would like to use more regularly the cards view as the main dashboard to work from, but when you click on a card it navigates you away from the cards view to the original board where the card is located. Is there a way to stay on the cards view (without opening the card in a new tab)?

Hi @yael.sherill! I'm not sure if there's a way to prevent the cards from opening in a new tab. Is the ultimate goal to just work out of one place, rather than many boards? If so, there are a couple of solutions to that:

1. Use Trello's team table. This will give you a view of all cards in a table view, and you can filter on cards assigned to you. This is a feature of the Business plan.

2. Use Unito which is a power-up. The idea would be to create a personal master board and consolidate all cards assigned to you into this one board. That way you can work out of one board and any update you make to cards there would sync back to the original cards.

Right, I was indeed looking into Unito... the only thing that it is all about programmable rules rather then by default doing the function of a master board ... but seems that's the only option... do you know if Jira power-up also offers any kind of solution like that?

Yes, the idea with Unito is to set up the rules between your boards, and once that's done, Unito would just work in the background and automatically sync your cards based on your rules. For example, only sync cards with Yael as a member to "Yael's to-do board". Now anytime a card gets assigned to you from any board, it will get synced automatically to your board. Any change you make (like moving it from "to do" to "doing") will sync back to the origin board. If you're interested in trying it out, I'd be happy to walk you through it via a screen share :)

Unito also integrates with Jira, so if there are things being assigned to you in Jira, you can also consolidate those issues into your Trello board. What are you looking to achieve with Jira & Trello?
