Trello board card numbers to show?

How do I get individual card/job ticket numbers to show?

We need to see them on each card... very frustrated.

Trello have automation variables for {cardnumber} and {cardid} 

The automation example below will help show how to add the card number/id to custom fields and also to the name of the card:
