Trello being used to spread malware / spam


I maintain a blog where a spammer is posting comments that point to sites on

These in turn point to tinyurl sites link to malware, promote porn or illicit downloads.

I assume this is taking up space and bandwidth for your systems, as well as increasing the likelihood of getting Trello put on personal or corporate blacklists.  I wouldn't like that - I like Trello!

This should go to Atlassian as they can, and will, shut down Trello accounts doing this sort of thing (we've seen a load of bots do much the same with Jira Clour recently).

There's no "formal" route for that at the moment though, so I've asked Atlassian to work off this post!

I have created an investigation ticket with our anti-abuse team so that they can take a closer look at this.  Thanks for reporting these specific addresses.


I can provide a list of 220 distinct URLs on that are being used in this bad way.
