Trello Desktop App startsup with a random public template that I opened once

Zevi Wolff June 25, 2020

Not much more to say!

Whenever I close Trello for Desktop, next time I open it it starts at "Team Goal Setting Central" template which I once opened. I have removed it from recent boards so  it disappears (there is no options to close it on the board menu) and though I can navigate all over my Trello boards, sure enough, next time I open Trello - there it is! Halp!

Hi @Zevi Wolff

It sounds like that template is set as your default board in the desktop app, so each time you close the app and reopen it later, Trello knows to open that specific board first instead of opening your homepage.

I'm not clear which operating system you're using, but you should see an option to open a 'Boards' menu inside of the app which will show the option to reset the default board. You may need to immediately close out of the Trello desktop app completely to end the process, then re-open the app to confirm that the change sticks.

I hope this helps!
