Trello Card needs a Due Date

Is there a way of preventing a Trello card being placed in a particular list on a Trello board if the Due Date field is not populated

Best I can think of is automation:

when a card without a due date is added to a list A, move the card to the list B

The limitation is you will then return all the cards without due dates to the list B.
