Trello Android app loses unsaved changes when switch app

The behaviour doesn't feel right and I believe it didn't always work like this...
If I am editing a card's details then switch to another app (e.g. Chrome) then come back to Trello I'd expect to be in edit mode still with my draft changes still there. The current experience shows the card in view mode when I return and the drafted changes are lost. I'm trying to remember to save before I switch app but I'm not in the habit of that and it feels like a sub-optimal experience to lose edits so easily.

Did this change and was it deliberate or a bug?

What you're experiencing is indeed a bug with our latest version of the Android app. Our team is currently working on a fix for that, although I don't have an ETA on when that will be deployed.

For now, I'd recommend keeping an eye out for any updates on the Play Store. We'll get a fix rolled out for that as soon as possible.
