The card-colors-for-trello extension was working. But now as the cards are opened and closed, they lose the color.

Sorry to hear that!

Unfortunately, all of those types of extensions are completely third-party and unofficial add-ons for Trello. Partly that means that we can't support them if something's not working as intended, but it also means that we make no guarantee that they'll continue working. Trello makes software adjustments to its platform regularly, and sometimes third-party developers need to adjust their extensions to keep working.

I can't say if that's what's happened here, but I'd suggest reaching out to the developer of the extension to make sure they're aware!
