Sort Order: Board Page vs. Board Drawer

Ron October 19, 2017

Does anyone know why the sorting is different between the board page and drawer?  Specifically, I'm talking about how boards are sorted with regard to alphabetical, numerical and special characters.  For a brief example, here is how these board names would sort in each:

Board Page:

  • _Board
  • !Board
  • ~Board
  • 5Board
  • aBoard
  • zBoard

Board Drawer:

  • !Board
  • 5Board
  • _Board
  • aBoard
  • zBoard
  • ~Board

Based on this:  http://www.asciitable.com/

  • The board drawer respects the standard ASCII table order;
  • The board pages follows a custom rule of "special characters first, in ASCII order, then alphanumeric, in ASCII order";
  • Both lists seem to ignore casing.

You might have found a bug, or a design decision for which we don't have the justification.
