Hi,
I have created a free Trello account and connected it with our Slack.
In my Trello setting, I can see this (see image):
I can't figure out what this means. Can any of our Slack team users join the Trello workspace using their Slack credentials?

Trello board has a setting that allows any workspace member to join the board. If this is enabled, any workspace member can click "Join" on the board. Slack self-join functionality replicates this behavior except users clicks "Join" in Slack. Note, when you have connected your Trello and Slack workspaces, this installs Trello for Slack app into your Slack workspace, then if the Slack user has connected their Trello and Slack accounts, only then they are able to use "Join" functionality from Slack because only then we can be sure that the user is a member of the same Trello workspace.
