Saving Automation on a Template

Christopher Revell September 15, 2020

We created a template with some automation using Butler. I was wondering, if it is possible to save that automation each time a new board is created?

Whenever we make a new board from the template, we have to manually re-add the Automation, it would be nice if we could save it to the template.

Thanks!

@Christopher Revell you can't currently do this with Butler, but if you use Command libraries then you can at least have your automations in a convenient group to enable what's required for each board type:

This ability to create "global command groups" is also something that I built into Trellinator, so that you can have boards that inherit certain functionality from a pre-defined set. It's one of the examples in my intro document here, but it's a coding framework so you either have to be a developer or you have to get a developer to set it up for you:
