Purpose of Team Members Joining a board?

Josh D June 24, 2019

Hi,

I work for a company that is looking to upgrade our task management system and I think Trello may be it. My team consists of 11-15 people and I would be using the boards as clients which we have over 200 of and lists as our employee names. Of course using the cards as tasks. My question is what is the purpose of team members joining the boards. They are already getting email notifications on cards/tasks when they assigned one, they can still move the cards around, due dates etc. I'm just trying to see the point of having to invite all the team members to over 200 boards.

Thanks,

Josh

@Josh D you can't add a member to a card if they're not a member of the board, but team members can watch team viewable boards. They can't move cards, though. The only thing non-board members can do is vote and comment.
