We were notified the free accounts are leaving and to upgrade our members is over 10 grand per year. This is crazy. Anything we can do?

Trello Free will still live on! Here's few options I’d recommend Trello Free teams:

• Close inactive boards: Perhaps there are some team boards that are open but no longer in use? I’d suggest looking at your team’s current open boards and seeing if any are rarely being used. Closing any inactive team boards will make room for new ones, and they can always be reopened later if there is space available in the team.
• Change a board's association to personal: There may be some boards that don’t require collaboration with your entire team, such as a to-do list of a single team member. Changing any boards like that to Personal will ensure it doesn’t count against your 10 board limit. All Trello users can still create and hold unlimited personal boards, now and forever!
• Create an additional Trello team: There’s no limit to the number of Trello teams that you can create, or be a member of. If your team is reaching the 10 board limit, and the previous recommendations don’t work for you, you’re welcome to create additional Trello teams and move boards to it or create new boards.

@Richard Anderson free accounts aren't leaving, free teams are being limited to creating no more than 10 boards. Free teams with pre-existing boards will still retain access to all those boards for free and create up to 10 more prior to 1 May.

You can have as many personal boards with as many team members as you like on each board, and you can have as many teams as you like.
