Possible to schedule start and end dates for repeating cards?

Jesse Brownstein August 6, 2024

Is it possible to set start and end dates for repeating cards?

For example:

I want Card X to repeat every Monday at 8am, but only for the weeks of Summer. Then the repeating should stop.

Or do I have to manually turn off the repeating?

I plan to use schedule repeating cards extensively across multiple boards. This will get tedious to manually turn off, otherwise each board will get flood with excess repeated cards.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Jesse,

We don't have to stop triggers to automation. However, as a workaround, you can create a main automation to control another automation.

IE:

Create a Scheduled automation that will create a card named "Trigger" in all the boards you need to automate:

Every weekday, a card named "trigger" will be created on the boards "Example 1" and "Example 2."

Then, for each board, create a rule that will trigger with this card:

When a card named "trigger" is added to this board, archive it and create a new card named "Card you Need" in the list.

It requires effort to create the automation; however, to stop all the others, you'll need to turn off only the scheduled automation.

I hope this fits your scenario :D
