I have been tasked to build a Project Management environment for a non-profit high school play. I'm a long-time Personal Trello user, but this is the first time I've had to contemplate introducing Trello to a large group of participants.
I know I need the Premium Plan to get the Calendar and Timeline views and about thirty people will need to be invited across 20 separate sub-projects boards.
Does that mean that EVERY invited participant (mums and dads and students) will have to be paying for a Premium account of their own? The plan pricing page certainly implies that, but is still somewhat ambiguous.
Invitees only need to dip in; create cards, move them between lists and adjust dates etc. I would be sole admin. Please could someone let me know whether I'm the only one who has to pay for Premium (which I have no issue with, of course), or whether I have to ask 30 others to also pay. Which naturally would be prohibitive.
Many thanks in advance

If you can design it in such a way that the 20 people remain as single board guest than they need not pay.
Hi. So that would mean having just one board in my account?

No you can have as many boards as you want but the invited guest can be a guest on just one board in that workspace with the Premium subscription.

OK. I will try to make that work. Thank you very much for your help.

Make sure you keep them as guest and not add them as workspace members.

I'm back. Apologies.
I've upgraded to Premium and created four test boards.
The only option I see to invite people, even to a single board, is as a Member or an Observer. I see nothing for Guest. Should I not be using the "Share" option?
Thanks for your patience...

Suggest you use a board outside you premium workspace and use the share button from that board to test. You then check your workspace on the status. It invited person should appear as guest on that workspace.

And yet my Workspace is ONLY Premium, because I upgraded my plan... it shouldn't be this difficult

Can a guest check a box off in a checklist or move a card to another column?

My suggestion is only to mitigate risk that you end up paying for something that you are just trying it out. There is not limitation on how many free workspace you can create.

There are some limitation on being a guest but completing a checklist item should be ok. Try it.

@Chaz Hinkeldey Well, it seems to be working!. Thank you again for the assistance. If I was Atlassian's User Experience and onboarding Director, I would endeavor to make this part of the process clearer.

Trello messaged me back and said a guest can be on only 1 of your boards. So, if they are on more than 1 of your boards, you'll be charged for them.

Let me clarify, I should have typed Workspaces not Boards. They can only be in one of your Workspaces.

I have a similar situation... Can anyone help? I emailed Trello about it... hopefully I'll hear soon.
