Paste info/text in desktop app

Bear R Humphreys June 5, 2019

Is there any plan (or reason for not supporting it anyway) for handling pasting (Ctrl v) clipboarded text into any field in a card on the desktop app?
I was surprised to find this old standby unsupported when I tried the app out.

Hi @Bear R Humphreys I just tested the ctrl+C on text in a word document, and then ctrl+V in a Trello card and it works for me in browser (but not in the desktop app). It also works in checklist and itemizes each task in the browser version of Trello which I find so convenient. I use Trello via Google Chrome browser and love its functionality.

Here is a link to other Trello keyboard shortcuts (which includes the ctrl+v) for Trello web:

As for the Desktop app, here is a list of shortcuts, which currently does not include ctrl+v:

You may consider submitting a feature request to have this standard, I can't imagine not being able to use those short cuts, I use them for everything as I work primarily without a mouse:

Thanks,
Jodi

Thanks Jodi,

Yep, it's because it was so useful that I was surprised it wasn't there when working offline. I have a notes board, wanted to copy and paste a phrase from a book I was reading and found I couldn't... Not that often I'm offline really, like most of us, but it seemed a shame to have such a basic thing unavailable.
