One of my boards has issues loading cards (especially in the afternoon/evening) for some reason

hi there

I have 2 boards for clients work, one, relatively small always works great, no matter the time of the day.

A second board where we have more people (max 20 people on it) and LOTS more cards on, it's visibly slower, especially in my afternoons and evenings (i am in CET, Europe). Not sure this has to do with higher traffic in the US, etc

Anyhow, today's particularly bad, not only it's slow but tasks with Steps checklists don't show up properly and populate after like 2 seconds. This is not right.

Can you guys do something?

Can WE do something? is there a cache to clear? shall we remove old cards? or older than X?

Also, when closing a card takes 1-2 seconds, should be instant.

Any tips to keep the board working better?

Again, my 2nd board almost loads always instantly, but one particular one is pretty bad, especially in the afternoon EU time and Evenings, it seems they're on a different server or something.

  • Which platform are you using Trello? (web or desktop, or both)
  • Which version you have installed for your browser and/or Desktop app?
  • When did you start experiencing this issue?
  • Which OS you’re using (macOS, Windows, Linux, etc)?

I am only using on Desktop PC, no app, just on the browser, on Brave Version 1.70.126 Chromium: 129.0.6668.100 (Official Build) (64-bit)

It started about 1 week ago to be particularly slow

Win 10 Pro and Win 10 Home

I have 3 other boards and they are very fast.

On the board with issues, i am admin and i just archived 2 years' worth of cards. It's a tad better but still slow-ish compared to the others. Especially when showing the checklists.

Overall still usable

ah also, the board in question is on a paid account, not on a free plan.

I am admin on the board in question, i've archived 2 years worth of cards and a little performance improvement, yes.

The main slowness is when you open cards with long-ish checklists, they take time to populate all the times. On the other 3 boards i have it's instant.

And, the "slow" board is on a paid account which ideally should have higher limits, capacity and allowances, etc

We're currently investigating the root cause of this behavior.

on a related note, i just noticed a status update https://trello.status.atlassian.com/ about boards being slow, so seems your team is already on it :)

i've just archived 2 years' worth of cards and not much performance improvements. Does the admin person have to do it or anybody can archive? Thus seeing a performance improvement?
