One list, multiple boards

Is there a way to have a single list span multiple boards? Is that what Butler's for? I'd love for my personal board's "Doing" list to be reflected in my team's board, and vice versa.

You can use butler for automation!

Okay, I see that using Butler is not recommended because of (1) the potential for loops and (2) the need to micromanage the rules.  

And I probably won't use the additional programs; not streamlined enough.
