I have an account that I am pretty sure is a free account (as I am not paying for it!). I am invited to various boards through this account on my jobs two workspaces. However, I don't seem to be able to create a personal workspace on my own free account. I am also not able to create any personal boards, as I don't have a personal workspace to put them into.

I have another Trello account, on a seperate email, that I don't use for work. On this account I can create workspaces and boards.

What am I doing wrong with the account I use with my work??? I can't figure out what the difference between them is that prevents me from having a workspace and making my own boards.

Hi Brie,

Good day to you :)

The reason you're unable to create a new personal board is that you've not created a personal workspace for the boards on your work email. Due to a change in how Trello works, boards now have to be associated with a workspace to exist.

This means you'll first need to create a workspace (from the + icon in the top right corner) and you'll then be able to create a new board associated with that workspace.

Please note that it's not possible to create or manage workspaces from the mobile apps at the moment so you'll have to use a web browser or the desktop app to create your first workspace
