I'm getting notifications that the map power-up is being removed after March - why?!
My cards are linked to tasks that are geographically located and the maps power up is useful to see where jobs are located - why remove a feature that's useful? Why is Trello going backwards.
This could cause me major disruption. Is there any way to badger Trello to keep this feature?
How will you work around this loss?
I'm gonna be pretty blunt here...
The Trello free version has been incredibly generous for a long time.
The map feature is not going away, it is just being moved to the paid version of Trello.
If this feature is really important to you, surely it isn't unreasonable for you to pay for the version of Trello that includes it
On a technical note (I am not an Atlassian employee so this is merely my logic).
Map power-up is linked to Google Maps API and therefore it takes resources to maintain. If Google changes their API, it's down to Trello resources to update. I don't think it's unreasonable for them not to want to continually support 3rd party connections for free features.
Welcome @Kevin Holland
Sorry to hear this, but there must be a reason why this power up is being removed. Now, I don't have them because I am not an Atlassian employee. All of the information for this is contained here: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Trello-articles/Map-Power-Up-to-be-Fully-Deprecated-on-April-1-2025/ba-p/2952552
