Hello Trello Support Team and Community,
I am reaching out to report an issue I encountered recently while organizing my projects and information within the Trello application.
In the process of moving and/or copying lists between different workspaces, I unintentionally deleted a workspace. Unfortunately, this action resulted in the disappearance of information recorded in the "Activities" section of the cards, leading to a significant loss of crucial data.
I have explored various avenues, including checking browser history, backups, and local storage, but haven't been successful in recovering the lost information. I understand that Trello may not have a built-in feature for recovering deleted data, but I wanted to reach out to see if there are any potential solutions or assistance that could be provided.
Is there any way to retrieve the activity information associated with the deleted workspace? I would greatly appreciate any guidance or support you can offer in this matter.
Thank you for your attention to this issue. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Best regards,
Hi Ruan,
Sorry to hear about the loss of information from your cards. This is an expected behavior when lists/cards are moved to a new board just as mentioned here in our article on moving lists to a different board.
Unfortunately, we are unable to restore the card information after it has been moved to a new board. I will share your feedback with our product team and please let me know if there is something else you would like me to add to the feedback.
Hi Victor, thanks for getting back to us.
Considering that the information recorded in the card's history/activity can include comments and/or images, I believe it would be important to preserve the comments/images when copying or moving the card. I believe this is something relevant and I leave this suggestion to Trello. Of course, the activity history automatically recorded by the system makes sense to be deleted. But the comments and/or images added by the user, I believe not. It was a significant loss.
I would like to take this opportunity to request information on whether it would be possible to restore the Primetech desktop and its tables to what they were on 02/02/2024 - 08:00 PM.
And if necessary, I can make some type of payment and/or join Premium.
I await your return.
Thank you very much
